Company profile
The company was founded in 1991 and since then has gone through a dynamic development period. Presently, it is one of the largest business firms in the area of electro products in the Czech Republic. Emos is 100% owned by Czech owners and it currently employs over 400 people. Emos is a holder of the ISO 9001 certificate. The company has achieved its dominant position on the Czech market through a wide range of business activities such as import, export, wholesale and retail sales. Emos offers to its clients products of such brands as GP Batteries and GP Powerbanks, Emos, Commax and Farfisa, Topfield, Homecast and Opentel. The products are purchased from over a hundred of suppliers from several different countries. The purchase and technical support are provided by product groups which are responsible for the quality and testing of purchased products. The goods are tested either in the company laboratories or in the authorized test rooms.
Logistic Centre
The logistic centre of Emos spol. s r.o., which is situated in Lipnická street, has been operating since December 2001. Its sliding rack warehouse with the capacity of 5200 palette loads is capable of dispatching 80 to 100 palettes a day. The logistic centre was modernized in December 2008. The warehouse is equipped with shelf positions, palette loads and assembly and dispatching workshops. The total area of the warehouse is 6750 m2 with the capacity of 8900 euro palettes and 850 shelf positions.
Online Shop
In 2004 Emos introduced online shop in order to improve and fasten its customer services. This convenient shop serves clients 24 hours a day.
Distribution in the Czech Republic
Emos has over 1600 customers in the Czech Republic, such as wholesales, supermarket chains and retail shops. The most significant business partners are Makro, Globus, Kaufland, Interspar, Penny Market, OBI, Electroworld, and others. This distribution process is based on a team of professional business representatives who are able to connect with the companies in IT system from anywhere in the Czech Republic and work with the most efficient means such as mobile phones, handhelds and notebooks.
Emos Subsidiaries and Export
20% of the overall Emos turnover is generated abroad. Emos has subsidiaries in Slovakia, Poland, Slovenia and Hungary. Emos also has customers in Germany, Austria, Romania, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Baltic countries, Croatia and others.
Other Services
Apart from Emos trade activities the company also offers large scale of professional technical services in the area of electronics and electrotechnics. It provides system for television cable mains, close circuit TVs, security and fire alarms as well as installation of telecommunication facilities and data cable systems.
