EMOS Slovenia - company profile
EMOS SI d.o.o. started its activities on the Slovenian market as a distributor of electro products Ben Electronic, Commax and GP in 1994. At that time the company’s name was VEMOS d.o.o. and it was located in Velenje. Czech capital had major share in the company’s compound ownership structure and there were other four associates. Gradually, the company had built a strong customer network mainly in the Northeastern and Eastern Slovenia paying attention mainly to the wholesale partners in individual sub-regions. Then the company moved to the town of Gaberke by Šoštanje.
In 2004 major changes were executed and the company became 100% Czech owned. VEMOS d.o.o. moved to an international logistics centre in Celje and began an extensive restructuring. In the middle of year 2004 the whole work team including top management was changed and after some period of stabilization the company was in the beginning of 2005 re-named EMOS SI d.o.o. and became the only legal successor of VEMOS d.o.o.
In the beginning of 2005 EMOS SI d.o.o. became an exclusive distributor of EMOS products for the Slovenian market. The company also sells GP Batteries and Tesla brands which make an important part in the company’s product portfolio.
A major marketing project for Slovenia was introduced in the middle of 2005 – the distribution of high quality batteries, accumulators and chargers under company’s own registered brand RAVER. This project aims at the target group of trendy, active and responsible customers who prefer proved quality for reasonable price.
Direct relationship with the EMOS trade block in the Czech Republic and its subsidiaries in Slovakia and Poland enabled EMOS SI to employ company’s common business policy, extensive international business skills and also prosper from the large rear of the EMOS trade block. This means a continuous effort for stock optimalization, everyday quality control of EMOS products and then subsequent synergic effect in the purchase proceedings and also commonly coordinated marketing projects.
Appropriate logistics structure and its great flexibility is indeed one of the very important competitive advantages considering the international business format of the EMOS trade block. In an effort to offer smooth top quality service to its clients EMOS uses the most up-to-date information technologies interconnected into one common EMOS network.
Due to these advantages EMOS SI experienced quick turnover growth (56%) and gained larger share on the Slovenian electro market during the years 2005 and 2006. For the year 2007 turnover growth of 47% is expected.
Currently there are nine employees taking good care of the Slovenian customers. The main objective of our strategy is to cooperate and communicate with as many local B2B customers who can then most efficiently help as assure end customers’ satisfaction with EMOS products. We are also greatly interested in the cooperation with supermarket chains. Nowadays EMOS products are sold at 500 active sale points in Slovenia.
