EMOS won financial grant from the European Social Fund for employee education

Our company won a financial grant from the European Social Fund for the project “Adapthemos – EMOS Employee Education for the Adaptability and Competitive Strength Advancement”. The project aims to make the company’s employees easily adaptable during the integration of Czech Republic to the new European labor market. According to our analysis and the monitoring of inner system we reached results necessary for further employee training and created a portfolio of education modules and projects that shall be carried out in the future. The project is designed so that all employees on any structural position and of any product line are involved. The project runs from May 2006 to March 2008

Project provider selection procedure

Provider selection procedure was set forth on April 14th 2006 and the highest acceptable project price was set for 1 557 600 CZK. The dead line for the applicants to apply for the project realization was May 5th 2006 till 10a.m. The applicants’ envelope opening was effected on May 9th 2006 at 2p.m.in EMOS boardroom.

By the dead line date eight project offers were received and after the first evaluation five of them were set aside. During May 10th and 11th 2006 final evaluation was carried out and final applicant list was generated:

3. VM Marketing, Praha 4 – Michle

Project cooperation with TEMPO

Contract for two-year (till March 31st 2008) employee training was signed with TEMPO one week after reaching the final results of the selection procedure. EMOS Human Resources Department is fully responsible for the project organization, however, in order to reach positive and fruitful results very energetic cooperation of all managers and top management is crucial.

We created a workshop schedule from June 2006 till the end of the year 2006. Most of the trainings took place outside EMOS s r.o. and some of them (after consulting with top management) even outside the town of Prerov. We try to announce the workshop date at least two months ahead as it is not easy to coordinate the schedule of the employees, tutor and find suitable workshop premises at the same time.

Due to the ADAPTHEMOS success we received considerable financial support from ESF for the purchase of books and other study materials. We plan to use these resources for the new legislation publications and other books that will help our employees in their individual specialized self study.

Business English and Conversational English lessons started from September 2006. The seminars were tutored by the experienced and professional TEMPO TRAINING & CONSULTING trainers: Mrs.Lenka Fasterová, Mrs.Šárka Maralíková and Mr.Tomáš Gřešek.

The aim of project tutors and administrators is to make this education project which is supported by ESF and Czech government as effective as possible. We wish that it would contribute to the expertise advancement of each individual employee and we hope that the time spend on seminars will be not only useful but also very pleasant for all participants.
